Philip Lybbe, Esqre&Louisa (nee MITCHELL) born April11 1798"1816 matriculated at University Coll. 1820 B.A. 1823 M.A.Chaplain of Goring Heath; Vicar of Hullavington.1829 married Caroline Scott-Waring, at Caversham. They had 6children, but only a daughter married, Ellen Anna Philippa(1838- ). Presumably she is the E.A.P. Powys, great greatgrand-daughter of Sir Thomas, who (before marrying) copied outthe family memorandum books. She undertook this initially forWilliamReginald but, since he died before she had completed it,she gave it toReginald Cecil instead.Their son Philip Edward, born 1841, joined the 57th Regiment in1860. In 1863 hewas wounded in New Zealand, and in 1867he died of wounds.In 1841 census he had the occupation of clergyman and hishosuehold was himeself, his wife Caroline, 5 children, 3 Wellschildren, a governess, two male servants and 5 female servants.In 1851 census the the eldest daughter had died so there werefour children, Richardwas chaplain of Endowed Almshouses(Goring Heath?)and they had with them two Scott Warings.
