James "Jim" Norman Weniger, 65, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Weniger had lived in Oxford since 1996 after moving from Senatobia, MS. He was a 1966 graduate of Father Judge Catholic High School for Boys and attended Lasalle College. A veteran of the U.S. Naval Air Reserves, Mr. Weniger was retired as the self-employed owner of J.P. & Associates, Inc., a company that installed computer software for furniture companies. One of the things that Mr. Weniger enjoyed was Ole Miss football where his granddaughter played in the band. He also enjoyed geocaching, boating and deep sea fishing, and travel. A recently completed trip to Alaska was on his "bucket" list. Mr. Weniger was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Oxford, MS with the funeral mass following at 11:00 a.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Fr Joe Tonos will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Peg Weniger of Oxford, MS; his mother, Marie Weniger of Warminster, PA; a son, Jim (Charlotte) Weniger of Batesville, MS; a daughter, Marlene (Chris) Echols of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Marie Hartlein of Dresher, PA and Nancy Murtaugh of Chalfont, PA; two brothers, Pete Weniger of Havertown, PA and John Weniger of Boothwyn, PA; 8 grandchildren; an exchange student from France, Nathalie LeFur. His father, Norman Joseph Weniger, and an infant son preceded Mr. Weniger in death. Memorials may be made in Mr. Weniger's name to the Mississippi Kidney Foundation, Inc., P.O.
