<p>LAST RITES HELD FOR JOHN LEISCHNER</p><p>Funeral services for John Leischner, retired farmer, were held Monday, Nov. 19, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mehlhalf Chapel and 2 p.m. at the Salem Congregational Church with the Rev. E. J. Eslinger officiating. Burial was made at the Friedensfeld Cemetery.</p><p>John Leischner was born to John and Justina (Hasz) Leischner on June 2, 1875, at Postal S. Russia,and died at his home in Parkston on Nov. 6 after an illness of one year. He came to America at the age of three years and settled on a farm ten miles east of Parkston. Moved to the City of Parkston24 years ago. On January 10, 1886 he was married to Tonie Isaak at Parkston. His wife died in 1932 and on Nov. 2, 1934, he married Mathilda Leischner of Parkston. </p><p>Mr. Leischner is survived byhis wife, Mrs. Mathilda Leischner of Parkston, one son Paul of Concord, Calif., two daughters: Edna, Mrs. Ervin Boettcher of Carlton, Ore., and Ella, Mrs. Sam Newman of Aberdeen, Idaho. two step-sons, Reinhold Leischner of Sioux Falls, and Richard Leischner of Parkston, six step-daughters, Bertha, Mrs. Julius Reimann of Hillsboro, Ore., Louise, Mrs. Wm. Bietz of Delmont, Leontine, Mrs. Bernard Winter of Alpena, Elsie, Mrs. Leo Pietz of Parkston, Ella, Mrs. Carl Triebwasser of Sioux Falls, Irene, Mrs. George Baltzer of Tripp and nine grandchildren.</p>Pallbearers were Harold Bietz, Melvin Bietz, Darrell Winter, Merlyn Winter, Kenneth Leischner and Norman Serr.
