Notes for this person

HEIDI WAGENFELD OBITUARY Heidi B. Wagenfeld 1944-2014 Heidi B. Wagenfeld passed away peacefully in her Houston home on Friday, the 14th, of November 2014, surrounded by family and close friends who loved her dearly. She will be remembered by her family, friends and neighbors as the most loving and giving person always willing to lend a helping hand. Heidi was born on the 19th, of March 1944, in Arnhem-Velp, Holland, to Waldemar and Margarete Borsdorff. She was raised and educated in Bremen, Germany. Upon her marriage to Heiner Wagenfeld in 1972, she moved to Houston, Texas. Shortly thereafter they settled into a close-knit neighborhood they have called home ever since. Heidi took great pleasure helping those in need. She prepared meals for the elderly in the neighborhood, offered neighbors peace of mind that their homes would be tended to when they were out of town, and was someone neighbors and friends could always count on unconditionally. Her deeds spoke louder than her words. Her favorite things in life were simple: cooking intimate dinners for close friends, keeping a pristine house with a backyard overflowing with flowers throughout the year, spoiling her grandchildren, having coffee and cake on weekend afternoons with family and friends, Saturday 'excursions' with her husband, and always looking forward to annual visits to Germany. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and brother-in-law Gerfried Wagenfeld. She leaves behind her beloved, caring and devoted husband of 42 years, Heiner, her daughter Stefanie Wagenfeld Richter, son-in-law Jon Richter, granddaughters Annabelle and Madeleine Richter, sister-in-law Helga Wagenfeld, nephew Thomas Wagenfeld and niece Corda Wagenfeld. She will be missed by family, countless neighbors and friends touched by her goodness and generosity. Her family is thanking everyone for their outpouring of love towards Heidi and the family, especially during her lasts months. A special thank you to her Pastor Angel P. Ortega, for holding a service at her bedside with family and friends, as she would have wanted. The family would also like to thank her nurse Brenda Monroe for the comfort provided to Heidi, her family and close friends during Heidi's last hours. Heartfelt thanks to Renate and Helmut Weber, Heidi Johanns, Hans Rotheudt, Patricia and Michael Maas, Wanda Schenck and Robin Anderson Stait for their continuous presence and support. To honor Heidi, there will be a 'Celebration of Heidi's Life' on Sunday, May 10th, from 3 to 5 pm at the home of Robin and Geoffrey Stait, from where Heidi among other things carried with her fondest memories from regular Christmas Festivities. In lieu of remembrances, Heidi would prefer any donation be made to ones favorite charity in her honor. Amor in Aeternum – Love Forever
