Nach [MON/FB3]: Im Jahre 1695 erhält er als Geörgen Hoffmann zusammen mit Johann Donell, Matthias Schommer, Nikolaus Kropp sowie der Witwe von Johann Brück die Erlaubnis zum Bau einer Mahlmüle im Hinterbachtal. Er wird auch "Gregor" genannt. Im Sterberegister ist er " Georg Hoffmann, 69 Jahre alt" genannt. Er starb an "morbo tysicus" (Schwindsucht). Möglicherweise in der Kopfliste "Capitatio" vom 01.11.1663 "Christian Hofmanß Wittib Sohn" genannt. Bei der Taufe seiner Tochter Catharina Gertrud am 08.10.1672 "Gregor Hoffman" genannt. Pate am 15.01.1672 als "Gregor Hoffman" von Catharina Schoeman (T.v. Thomas Schoeman u Anna NN), am 18.07.1677 von Anna Schauff (T.v. Johann Schauff u. Anna NN), als "Georg Hofman ex Montzelfelt" seines Neffen Georg Hoffman (S.v. Johann Hoffman u. Anna Catharina [Becker]) aus Lieser [kath. KB1 Lieser Seite 55 Nr.9]. In den Steuerhebezetteln 1684 und 1685 "Gorig Hoffman" genannt.
