(Chabot) Jenkins of North Main Street, Assonet, and 36 Park Place, Pawtucket, died in a Pawtucket hospital yesterday after an illness of several months. Born in Brooklyn, he was Superintendent of the Fall River Gas Works Company for twenty years. He lived in Pawtucket for the last ten years and was vice president in charge of gas operations with the Blackstone Valley Gas and Electric Company. He was a son of the late Edward Jenkins and the late Violetta (Rogers) Jenkins. He belonged to the Pawtucket Business Chamber, Inc.; Pawtucket Lodge No. 920, B.P.O.E.; Rotary Club of Pawtucker; Pawtucket Country Club; Y.M.C.A.; Blackstone Valley Camera Club; Tokalon Club; The American Gas Association; Guild of Gas Managers; and the New England Gas Association. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Assonet. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Capt. Burton P. Jenkins, Jr., who is with the Air Force in Alaska, and Robert L. Jenkins of this city; a sister, Mrs. Edward M. Uhlig of Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren, and one nephew. His funeral services will be held at the Congregational Church of Assonet, North Main Street, Assonet, Monday afternoon at 2:00. Interment will be in Assonet Burial Ground.
