Paul Haakenson and Wilfred Goecke will lead the services. Burial will follow at Ipswich City Cemetery, Ipswich, SD. Betty Jean died Monday, April 18, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen. Betty Jean Kadlec was born on June 30, 1941 to William and Clara (Kleffman) Kadlec in Loyalton, SD. She resided at home with her parents. Her father died in 1988 and she and her mother moved to Ipswich, SD. In 1991, Betty Jean moved to the Developmental Center in Redfield, SD when her mother entered the nursing home. She became a resident of Aspire in 1999. Jeannie had a gift of loving people by all the many hugs and kisses she would give. She touched the lives of so many people that have cared for her over the years at Aspire. Jeannie loved to tease you in her own special way. She will be greatly missed by those who cared for her and loved her. The family of Aspire showed true compassion and kindness to Jeannie over the years. We will forever be grateful for all the love they gave her. Grateful for having shared her life are her aunt, Evangeline Seidschlaw, many cousins and her family from Aspire. She was preceded in death by her parents.
