Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Conrad) Knickle. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, of the ladies aid of the church, of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 Ladies Auxiliary, Lunenburg, and of Alexandra Rebekah Lodge 22, Lunenburg. She is survived by a daughter, Beatrice (Mrs. Douglas Young), Lunenburg; two sons, Robert, Murray, both of Lunenburg; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Dares, Lilydale; Sadie (Mrs. Erline Colp), Newton, Mass.; Charlotte Corkum, Eldora Oxner, both of Lunenburg; a brother Gordon (Jim), Lunenburg; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clement; a daughter Muriel; two brothers, Willis, Guy. The body is in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating; burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. Flowers from immediate family only.
