LEONA GAUTHIER Mrs. Gauthier Dies in Crash Two Rivers-A former town of Two Rivers woman, Mrs. Albert Gauthier, 68, of the town of Wausaukee, Marinette county, was killed instantly, and her son, daughter in law and infant grandson, are confined in Marinette hospital with injuries as a result of a collision on highway 141, three miles north of Crivitz, at 5:30 Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Gauther, her son, Bernard, 28, his wife and son, (Private), a year and a half old, were returning from a visit on Sunday with the former's daughter in laws, Mrs. Matt Polich, route 1, Two Rivers, and Mrs. John Allie Jr., at Two Rivers, whose husband is with the armed forces in Korea. Although details were meager it was learned that the car driven by Mrs. Gauthier's son was struck head on by a migrant farm hand from Texas, who was employed in that area. According to reports Mrs. Gauthier's son, his wife and son are improving at the Marinette hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Gauthier both received cuts and bruises and suffered from severe shock, while the son sustained a broken leg. Mrs. Gauthier was born in the town of Two Rivers in 1893 (sic), a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beeck. In 1910 (sic) she was married in Two Rivers to Albert Gauthier, the couple taking up their home on the Gauthier homestead farm, six miles north of Two Rivers. Later the family moved to a farm near Two Rivers and nine years ago move to Middle Inlet, Marinette county. Besides her husband, Mrs. Gauthier leaves four daughters, Mrs. Vernon Lusardi of Milwaukee, Mrs. Matt Polich of the town of Two Rivers, Mrs. Harold Hoffman of route 1, Two Rivers, and Mrs. John Allie of Two Rivers; and three sons, Roy Gauthier of Cudahy, Wis., and Bernard and Glenn Gauthier on the farm home in Marinette county. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Charles Beeck of Manitowoc, two sisters, Miss Viola Beeck of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frank Nickelson of Milwaukee, and three brothers, Erwin Beeck of Shullsburg, Wis., Roland of St. Ignace, Mich., and Walter Beeck of route 2, Two Rivers. There are nine grandchildren. Mrs. Gauthier was a member of the Mary Martha society of St. Augustine Catholic church at Wausaukee. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic church, Wausaukee, Wis., Rev. Polaczyk officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Two Rivers.
