Johannes Gemmer erblickte am 20. Dezember 1802 als Sohn des Andreas Gemmer und seiner Frau Elisabeth (geb. Neeb) das Licht der Welt. Als Patrinus erschien "Johannes Gemmer Kirchensenior daselbst, avus". [Taufregister Zell 1801-1807, bei ArchionS.18]
Johannes Gemmer, "des Gemeindsmannes Andreas Gemmer ehelicher Sohn", verstarb am 1. Januar 1803 in Zell. Das Taufregister gibt als sein Alter zwar 10 Monate an, dies muss sich aber um einen Irrtum des Pfarrers handeln. Der kleine Johannes wurdenur elf Tage alt. Die Beerdigung fand am 2. Januar statt.
