Balthasar Völzing wurde am 21. November 1677 als Sohn des Schulmeisters Hans Kaspar Völzing und seiner Frau Maria geboren. Patrinus war "Baltzen" Neeb zu Zell.
Konfirmiert wurde er am 26. Mai 1689 ("Dominica Trinitatis") in Zell (mit 12 Jahren).
Seine Heirat mit Anna Elisabeth Gemmer kann ich noch nicht datieren.
Balthasar Völzing starb am 17. Januar 1740, sieben Jahre und zwei Monate vor seiner Frau. Als "textus electus" diente Buch Jesus Sirach, Kapitel 41, Vers 3f: "O Tod, wie wohl tust du dem Armen, der schwach und alt ist, der in allen Sorgen stecktund nichts Besseres zu hoffen noch zu erwarten hat!"
