Ein (anderer?) Johann Petrus Kau aus Mittelscheid wurde am 21. Januar 1731 Vater eines Sohnes Johann Wilhelm: “Joes Wilhelmus Kaus Jois Petri et Apolloniae ex Mittelscheid conjugum filius Suscipientes Joes Wilhelmus Schmitt ex Supra levitate Blankenberg cum Joes Henrico ex Schieffen assistente Maria Agnete ex Broch.” [BA 2576, S.149 digital]
Folgende Trauregistereinträge vom Februar 1717 bzw. April 1720 müssten sich auf einen älteren Johann Peter Kau beziehen: "[Copulatus] Jois (sic!) Petrus Kaus ex Mittelscheid cum [...] Schieffers ex Hüchel."
