She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She marriedRoy Bargmann on May 8, 1919. Roy and Clara bought the Garms home placeand farmed there until 1936, then moved to a farm south of Columbus where they farmed until they retired in 1950, then moved to Columbus. Clara was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a charter member of theCountry Ladies Guild.
