Notes for this person
Henry Lang was the only "Lang" on the Bark Potomac passenger list. He was listed as a "farmer" age 27 from "Bavaria." The Bark Potomac departed Le Havre, France. He immigrated to the U.S., departing from Le Havre, France, aboard the Potomac; and arrived at Baltimore, Maryland, on October 18, 1836. There he married Catherine Scheurich two days later (she had also arrived on the Potomac). They lived in Indiana and/or Illinois before settling on a farm near Sherrill's Mount (now Sherrill), Dubuque, Iowa. He was a shoemaker and farmer.
