On January 29, 1974, at 4:30 a.m., at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, Fred S. Werner, husband of the late Jennie Roser Werner, Spring Grove RD 2, aged 87 years, 2 months, 15 days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9. York Daily Record, January 30, 1974 Fred S. Werner, 87, who was engaged in farming most of his lifetime in the Brodbeck area, died Tuesday at 4:30 a.m. at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, York, where he had been a patient three weeks. Mr. Werner, husband of the late Mrs. Jennie Roser Werner, had been residing with a niece, Mrs. Mable Aughenbaugh, Spring Grove RD 2. He was the son of the late Lewis S. and Annie Schmidt Werner of Manheim Township and was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Louey, Hanover; Lewis and Chester Werner, both of Brodbeck RD 1, and Mrs. Dora Senft, Spring Grove. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery. The Rev. Glenn Flinchbaugh, Mr. Werner’s pastor, will officiate.
