Barbara Lou LIEVING

Barbara Lou (Lieving) Zerkle, 91, of New Haven, WV, passed away October 31, 2021, in Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. She was born January 23, 1930, in Letart, WV, a daughter of the late Bernard Harold and Mary Ann (Hoffman) Lieving. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Zerkle and grandson, Aubrey Lee Newell. Barbara was a 1948 graduate of Wahama High School, and a former employee of Mason County Bank, Peoples Bank and City National Bank. She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church and volunteered at the West Virginia State Farm Museum. She was a fifty plus year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 75, Mason, WV and enjoyed needle point and being with her family. Survivors include her son, Ronald Keith (Cathy) Zerkle of New Haven; daughter, Belinda Lou (Lonnie) Newell of Letart; brother, Rev. Bernard H. Lieving Jr. and his wife Cindy of Tampa, FL; sister, Carolyn L. (Paul) Hesson of Letart; grandchildren, Christopher Keith (Lori) Zerkle and Devin Lynn (Tim) Meadows; great grandchildren, Rilee, A.J., Miley and Payton.
