[Ahlf _all.GED] [JW Claus Ahlf.FTW] !BIRTH-SPOUSE-CHILDREN: In Ev./Lutheran Church, Burg/Dithmarschen, Germany Taufe Register #5 1807-1843 Claus Ahlf is listed as father of Claus (b. 1815), Tonnjes, (b.1822), and Johann, (b. 1824); his wife is shown as Anna Margaretha born LAU; all these sons were born in Burg, age estimated from b. date of oldest son; records copied/photographed at church office by June WALLING, October, 1995; letter from Kent Ahlf, Kirkland, WA, Feb 16,1996, gives b. & d. dates, no actual documentation. !To Do: check Ancestral File at FHC for this family; write to Leslie Edwards, Cordova, TN & James Ahlf, Searcy, AR, descendants for possible clarification of Kent Ahlf info. I visited the church and was allowed to look at the original books. They could not be photo copied, but I was allowed to photograph them. Many of the three or four books I saw were indexed. Frau MOLLER was very helpful and had marked several of the births and christenings (taufe) that I was interested in. Before going, a letter was sent to the church saying we would be there and hoped to view the records.
