Donald Keith Iman, 60, of New Sunrise, Romney, WV, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at his residence.
Born on February 26, 1948 at Cumberland, MD, he was a son of Iva Juanita (Walker) Iman of Romney, WV and the late Neil Richard Iman. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Neil Iman.
Mr. Iman was formerly employed with the Winchester Medical Center with 10 years of service. He was a 1966 graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland and was a former member of the Cresaptown Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of God's Word Fellowship in Romney. An avid model train enthusiast, he also enjoyed feeding and taking care of the backyard birds and traveling through the mountains of West Virginia, exploring all of the country and rural roads. He was also a loyal Allegany Campers and Washington Redskins fan.
Surviving, in addition to his mother are two brothers, Richard D. Iman of Baltimore, MD and Dale E. Iman and wife Janis of Fayetteville, NC; a sister-in-law, Alice M. Iman of Woodstock, VA; one niece, Joanna Iman of Woodstock; one nephew, Matthew Iman of Frostburg, MD and his close companion, the family pet Border Collie, Holly.
Friends were received at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services were conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Simmons officiating.
Interment was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.
