Seine Witwe ist offenbar Merlint Bechtin, welche am 31. Dez. 1337 ihrer Tochter Adelheid im Koster Pfullingen 1 Pfund Heller jährlichs aus einem Weingarten daselbst, 1 Pfund Heller aus der obern Badstube und 10 Schilling Heller aus einem Hause daselbst verschafft (St. A.).
Die Becht sind das älteste Patriziergeschecht Reutlingens.
Wappen: eine Gans; auf dem Helme: die Gans wachsend. Das Wappen ist ein sprechendes. Noch heute heißt im Bayrischen eine gestopfte Gans eine Becht. 'Aus der Gans wurde später aus Schönheitsrücksichten ein Schwan.
