This pattern was also true for Leupold V (died 1406), the middle son of three Leupold III died in 1379 was of the owner of Oberndof [5]. His first marriage was with Kunegonde Koler named forester and his second marriage was with Kunegonde Ebner. The descendants of the latter Schürstab’s went on until the late 17th Century. The brothers Schürstab occupied Munich in 1398, assuming their father's business. They traded in tobacco, furs, linen, tin and copper. On 22 April 1401 Leupold V sealed with Hans H. Türriegel the final purchase of Oberndorf. He was a few years in office and was consistently the younger mayor and because business was slow Leupold V closed the company. In the year before his death in 1390 he was replaced in the Council Chamber with his cousin and in 1395, 1397, 1405 and 1406 his brother was represented. The merchant and two of its sons died in 1406, as the rampant plague victims of Nuremberg. His last resting place is found beside his father in the Church of the Holy Spirit Hospital. The parents donated a silver (Silver and Gold) cup of worship.  In contrast, the foundation of Schürstab donated the coat of arms-Schürstab and that of his wives Schürstab-Ebner and Schürstab-Koler the so-called blue window in the Martha Church in 1410 with as sign on a crest of Schürstab, Ebner and Koler.
