Frederick Earl (Fred) Trout, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., died yesterday, Nov. 17, 1922, aged 54 years, in Madera, Calif. News of his death came in a telegram to a sister Mrs. Minerva A. Herman, 1035 Middlebury street, Elkhart. Death is believed to have been due to jaundice, as he was suffering with that disease when he wrote a letter to Mrs. Herman two weeks ago. It is not known yet whether the body will be brought here. Mr. Trout, who was a son of Isaac and Mahalah Trout, was born at Vandalia, Mich., on December 20, 1867. When he was 20 years old, the family moved to this city, the parents dying here and their burial taking place at Grace Lawn cemetery. Ten years ago, Mr. Trout went to California. He never married. Surviving him are three brothers, George Trout of San Jose, Calif., Harvey Trout of Union, Mich., and Harry Trout who is in Canada, and four sisters, Mrs. Herman, Mrs. Lewis Frank and Mrs. Asa Hitesman, all of this city, and Mrs. William Holmes of Merrill, Mich.
