Viele Matches haben völlig andere Kinder!? Wohl nur "amunoz Web Site" hat auch die Tochter Frances Dorothea Coppage.

CHARLES COPPAGE SR. (1687-1750) of Wicomico; granted
land in Northern Neck, 1710-1712, N.N. Book4, 80, Va. State Library;
mentioned in will of his brother James Coppage in 1736 and by inference
in will of nephew John in 1745, whose widow Judith his son Charles Jr.
may have remarried; the wife of CHARLES COPPAGE SR. predeceased him
and her first name is not known with certainty; she was clearly a
LUNSFORD, perhaps the Sarah Coppage who appears in Northumberland
records in 1735, but she could not have died in that year. We are making
her out as LUCY LUNSFORD (daughter of Sheriff JOHN LUNSFORD, son of
WILLIAM son of SIR THOMAS.) Tradition has it that WILLIAM LUNSFORD,
who arrived in VA with SIR THOMAS LUNSFORD, LADY LUNSFORD, in 1640
lived to marry a Misds Blackwell in Northumberland. The land patent of
24 Oct 1650 reads: "SIR THOMAS LUNTSFORD Knt., The Lady Luntsford,
Mrs. Elizabeth Lutsford, Mrs Philippa Lutsford, Mrs. Mary Lutsford,
William Lutsford Esqr., Mr. Foster, Mr. Buffkin....." 65 in all. From the
position of WILLIAM LUTSFORD Esqr., he must have been younger than his
sisters, perhaps born on the voyage and not in London Towe like Mary; to
have the designation Esqu. he must have been the eldest son living of a
knight, as we clearly see, and what is more important, he must have been
the son of SIR THOMAS LUTSFORD English wife KATHERINE NEVILLE of
Billingsbere, Berksm daughter of Sir Henry Neville and descended from
the Killigrews, Smith's, Greshams and the Lords Abergavrnny.
Tradition has it that WILLIAM LUNSFORD married a MISS BLACKWELL, was
well he may havem for SAMUEL BLACKWELL and Moses Lunsford
witnessed Charles Coppedge's will in 1750. John Lunsford, Lucy's
married Hannah, Catherine or Elizabeth Neale."

Datenbank
