Ein Onkel von Gottlieb Friedrich GROSCHUPF, war David GROSCHOPF (A) (*um 1590) welcher sich in Böhmen nieder gelassen hatte. Er war der Neffe unseres Vorfahren Laurentius GROSCHUPF (V) (*um 1556 in Elterlein, +11.03.1703 in Elterlein, Handelsherr, Richter, Rat und Gasthofbesitzer in Elterlein). Er wurde am 05.09.1629 in Wien, in den österreichischen Adelstand als "von Groschopf zu und auf Olsch" erhoben und nannte sich Ritter David von GROSCHOPF zu und auf Elsch, Herr auf Elsch(Olsch) und Altsattel (Staré Sedlo). In der Sakristei der Pfarrkirche von Altsattel "Maria Himmelfahrt" steht noch heute der Epitaph desRitters Groschopf.
