"MARRIAGE
FRENCH - VON SCHILL
a very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Luke's Church, Latrobe, yesterday afternoon, the Rev. C. H. Corvan being the officiating clergyman. The contracting parties were Mr. Victor H. French, of Gawler, and Miss Minnie von Schill, third daugther of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. von Schill, of Latrobe. The bride, was attired in a lovely cream serge bridal dress, beautifully trimmed with silk and true lover's knots, and wore a picture hat of pale pink crepe, de chene; she also wore a handsome goldbangle, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried an ivory bond prayer-book, the gift of Mrs Arthur von Schill. She was attended by Miss Donaldson as bridesmaid, who wore a pretty dress of white voile and black hat; she also wore a pearl and rubypendant, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a set of silver-backed military brushes. Mr. Murfet, cousin of the groom, acted as best man. Miss V. Richards presided at the organ, and as the wedding party arrived at the church, played the Wedding March. After the ceremony the happy couple held a reception at Mr. A. von Schill's where the wedding breakfast was also partaken of, after which Mr. and Mrs. French left for their future home, which will be at Gawler. The bride's travelling dress was a navy coat and skirt, with hat to match. A large number of handsome und useful presents were received from their many friends."
