OBITUARY
The Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate
Thursday 24 January 1935
MRS. GEORGE PALMER
Emily Palmer, wife of Mr. George Palmer, passed away at her residence, in ' Darling Street, shortly after 1
o'clock yesterday. Death ended a covery had passed.
The deceased lady was a resident, of Dubbo for nearly 50 years, having been born in Bathurst and coming Westwa' after her marriage. She was a Miss Owen prior to her marriage, and is survivad by Mr. Palmer, a son, Gilbert (both of Dubbo) and two daughters, Marjorle (Mrs. C. Gaunson, Kogarah) and Dorothy (Mrs. G. Collins, Balgow nVl- TVTV Tlnvn CliTjrm nf *Ra f.Vmvcf: Ik
a brother, and Mrs. J. Douglas (Mosman) and Mrs. B. Ward (Manly) are surviving sisters.
Throughout her life of three score years and twelve, the late Mrs. Palmer was actively associated with
church work. She was married by Dr. Geike, minister of the Bathurst. Presbyterian Church and ardently entered into all phases of the social work of the church.
To Mr. Palmer and family the deep est sympathy of a wide circle of friends is extended.
As a mark of condolence, Dubbo Bowling Club's pennant was flown at half mast, yesterday, on the occasion of Mudgee Bowling Club's visit.
Mr. Palmer was a former president and for many years secretary of the local club.
The funeral cortege will leave St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church this afternoon at four o'clock.
Rev. E. H. Vines will conduct a service in the church, and also officiate at the graveside. -
W. Larcombe & Son have charge of the funeral.
