"Thursday, July 24, 1924: Mrs. Fannie Jacobs, widow of the late Myer Jacobs is very ill of dropsy and her friends are worried over her condition. The lady is one of the old and higly respected residents of Ligonier."
"August 28, 1924: Deaths claims many from Ligonier City (one of them).About nine o`clock this morning Mrs. Clara Jacobs, widow of the latedied at the family home on South Cavin Street where she had lived many years and wehre she had formed the close friendship of a host of friends. Quiet and gentle by nature, she made only friends among her neighbors. o children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs and since the deathof her husband about three years ago she had lived alone there is a sister residing in Chicago and other relatives along with many friendsto mourn her death. The funeral arrangements had not been made when this was written.".

September 4, 1924: Will is probated of Mrs. Jacobs. Many benevolencesbenifitted by dead women`s great generosity. Estate of $ 75.000 willbe adminstered by Irvin Jacobs, nephew of the deceased.
Before her death it is understood that Mrs. Clara Jacobs gae to relatives some handsome presents and still had left for legal distribution an estate of $ 75.000. Under the will her favorite nephew, Irvin Jacobs, will administer the estate according to her requests. One bequest which will stand out as a monument to the memory of Mrs. Jacobs is an item of $1500 for the poor of Ligonier. One hundred dollars of this sumeis to be expended for the poor during the holiday season of each year. The Ligonier Library gets $ 200 cash. The Jewish Home for Crippled Children in New York City has a gift of $ 500. Irvin Jacobs, for his services as executor of the will, gets $ 5000 cash and the Meyer Jacobshome on Cavin Street worth $ 500 or more. Nieces and nephews, sixteenof them, receive $ 2000 each, aggregating $ 32.000. The residue amounting to from $10.000 to $ 15.000 goes to an orphane home in Cleveland,Ohio.
Among the heirs to farewell was a sister residing in Chicago."
