Birth: 1903 Death: Oct. 13, 1938 Plant City Hillsborough County Florida, USA Bloomington Daily Telephone 10/14/1938 Funeral arrangements will be completed Saturday for Mrs. Katherine Stout Ridge, 36-year old former resident who died Thursday morning at Plant City, Florida, where she and her husband and their family moved seven years ago, because of her ill health. Her husband, Hulcey Ridge, was a former local stone quarryman. Before her marriage, Mrs. Ridge graduated from Indiana University and taught in the local schools. Survivors besides the husband are one son, William, age 15; her mother, Mrs. Lolis Stout, of Plant City, Florida; and one sister, Delpha Stout, of Plant City. The remains will arrive in Bloomington this evening and will be taken to the Day Mortuary, pending funeral arrangements, to be made Saturday. Bloomington Daily Telephone 10/15/1938 Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday from the Clear Creek Christian church for Mrs. Katherine Stout Ridge, age 35, who died Thursday morning at Plant City, Florida after an illness of several years with carcinoma. She is the wife of Hulcey Ridge, former local quarryman. Active pallbearers will be Cy Gyger, Steve Martin, Virgil Turner, J. Garrett, Lowell Howe and Vollie Stout. Honorary bearers will be Herbert Stout, Joe Stout, Green Ridge and Frank Eckles. Flower bearers will be Letha Gyger, Thelma Martin, Leona Ridge and Louise Garrett. The deceased will lie in state at the Day Mortuary until the hour of the service.
